As an ICLEI member, Växjö was one of the first to join the CitiesWithNature initiative. Sharing knowledge and seeing how other cities address the challenges of increasing urbanization and loss of nature – these are all important activities for achieving a nature positive world.
In Växjö we strive to preserve the nature in our immediate surroundings and reinforce green living areas and landscapes. We hope that our actions can strengthen biodiversity, ensure continuation of ecosystem services, and increase our resilience in the face of climate change.
