City Biodiversity Index FAQs
Do you have any questions about the CBI for us? Check out our Frequently Asked Questions below, or email us at info@citieswithnature.org.
What is the City Biodiversity Index?
The City Biodiversity Index (CBI) - or the Singapore Index on Cities’ Biodiversity (SI) - is a self-assessment tool for cities to evaluate and monitor the progress of their biodiversity conservation efforts against their own individual baselines, which is currently in the form of a handbook.
Where do I download the CBI handbook?
You can download the CBI handbook here. The CBI tool on this site is a digitized version of the handbook.
Why is the CBI tool helpful to my city?
The CBI self-assessment tool enables cities to determine a baseline of biodiversity and nature in their city, which then provides cities with useful data to help them make commitments and take action for nature, and particularly on the CitiesWithNature Action Platform.
